Eldon is the former head of a leading international school, a recognised authority in Gifted and Talented education, a motivational speaker and respected professional learning provider. He has a Bachelors degree in Education and a Masters in Education (Gifted Education) and he has been teaching and leading for over eighteeen years. Eldon is a member of the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children and is an executive committee member of the Queensland Association for Gifted and Talented Children. Prior to moving into the field of education Eldon had a very successful financial sector career working with some of Australia's leading financial organisations, in a variety of locations around the country. His work with international educational organisations has taken him around the world. Eldon has a thorough understanding of the needs of international schools. He has a breadth of experience in facilitating cutting edge professional learning programs that have superior learning outcomes for all involved. Eldon is a strong advocate for improvement in educational service provision and has led change and development in Europe, Asia, South America and the United Kingdom. Eldon's commitment to improving teaching and learning outcomes has come from his extensive work in school review processes. Eldon has a particular interest in all three programs of the International Baccaleaurate Organisation. He has a wealth of experience and training to offer in IBO programs, training and review processes. In 2005 Eldon was nominated for the National Excellence in Teaching Awards. Eldon is a former member of the Latin American Heads Conference and has previously been a member of the Heads Standing Association of the IBO; the British Peruvian Chamber of Commerce; and the Australian Business Club of Peru. Eldon enjoys the arts, travel and the outdoors. He has acted in or directed numerous drama productions in a wide range of countries. Eldon is an active participant in walking tours of the places he lives and visits.
