As an undergraduate, I first studied a BIS major (professional writing/editing; film/video production; and rhetoric) at the University of Minnesota (1994). I next studied a professional screenwriting program at UCLA (1995-96, with additional courses in 1997 and 1999) while working at the Library Quarterly editorial office at UCLA. From 2003-2005, I studied a graduate program in English and composition theory at CSU Northridge, and began teaching college composition in 2004. The schools where I have taught traditional and online research and composition courses include CSU Northridge, Oxnard College, Columbia College Hollywood, Everest College Phoenix, and Colorado Technical University Online. As a California registered Farsi interpreter, I have also done Farsi interpreting in Los Angeles and Orange counties. In Nov. 2012, I am starting a new position for Engility Corp. in Monterey, CA. Regardless of the kind of language that I'm teaching, editing, studying, or collaborating with, however, I really enjoy the many technological features available with several software programs, such as Adobe Connect and Blackboard Collaborate.
